Broadband DSL Warranty Information
Covered DSL Equipment: Your DSL equipment warranty covers replacement of defective hardware provided to you by Nationwide Internet for its DSL Internet access service,
including modems, routers, gateways, adapters, NICs, filters, and splitters ("Covered DSL Equipment"). Labor charges may also be covered in limited circumstances, as specified
below. Note: This warranty only covers Nationwide Internet DSL equipment and labor of Nationwide Internet Services and its authorized contractors and agents, and does not cover
equipment or labor ordered or obtained by Customer from any person or entity other than Nationwide Internet.
Warranty Commencement Date: This warranty will commence on the Nationwide Internet DSL Order Completion Date, which is the date that DSL service is activated by
Nationwide Internet Services - regardless of when the DSL equipment is installed or when Customer activates the service.
Full Warranty: If you report your problem and return the defective Covered DSL Equipment within 90 days of the DSL Order Completion Date, Nationwide Internet will replace
the Covered DSL Equipment at no charge - including labor charges if Nationwide Internet dispatches a technician.
Limited Warranty: Between 91 and 365 days after the Order Completion Date, Nationwide Services will replace the defective Covered DSL Equipment at no charge, except any
required labor and $12.95 shipping and handling. If Nationwide Internet is required to dispatch a technician, it will charge a labor fee, regardless of the cause of the problem.
End of Warranty: Day 366 and beyond after the Order Completion Date, Nationwide Internet will replace the defective Covered DSL Equipment for $99.95 plus $12.95 shipping
and handling. Customer may renew for another 12 months and receive a $50 credit replacement Covered DSL Equipment. Customer will still be responsible for the $12.95 shipping and
handling charge.
Warranty contact information: To make a claim under this warranty and for information about how to return defective Covered DSL Equipment, please call 1-888-Nationwide
(1-888-628-4669).
EXCEPTIONS: This warranty does not cover equipment that has been damaged or destroyed through Customer's (or any agent of Customer's) negligent or intentional acts.
Customer modifications to the Covered DSL Equipment will also void this warranty. In addition, equipment destroyed due to fire or natural disasters, such as flood or lightning
damage, or other causes outside of Nationwide Internet Services' control, are not covered.
DSL Minimum Requirements: It is recommended that your computer be running on Microsoft Windows 95/98/NT/ME/2000/XP operating systems. You must also have a network
interface card (which is available at most computer stores) and communications software installed. All Unix and Macintoshes will need an Ethernet interface.
If you do not have an Ethernet interface on your PC, you must have an open USB Port available and request the USB Driver software and cables from your sales representative so
that we can make sure that you are set-up with the proper connection.
